WWI 9 Infantry Bn AIF Brass & Enamel Association Badge. The 9 Bn was recruited in Queensland. No maker – Measures 2cm x 2.5cm Lapel lugged. Minor surface scratches otherwise VGC. The 9 Bn – with 10, 11 and 12 Bns formed the 3rd Brigade. The 3rd Brigade was the covering force for the Anzac landing on Gallipoli on 25th April 1915. The 9 Bn has the distinction of being the first Battalion ashore on the 25th April 1915. Superb WWI colour patch association badge.
