The Defence Act 1903-1912 regulations (provisional) and Standing Orders for the Military Forces of the Commonwealth of Australia 1908 (reprinted 1913)  368 pages. Named to H O’Loughlin.  Henry O’Loughlin enlisted in the AIF on 19th August 1914.  Service number 2, Henry was selected by the Colonel for the position of Regimental Quarter-master of the 5 Bn.  Henry had joined the Royal Australian Artillery in 1903 and in 1908 was transferred to the Senior Cadets with the rank of Sargeant Major.  He was with the 5 Bn in the second wave to land on Gallipoli on 25th April 1915.  He was promoted to Lt and appointed Adjutant of the 5 Bn.  Promoted to Captain in France and was KIA 28 February 1917, aged 32.  The previous owner has made some written notes on some pages.  General service wear, otherwise GC.  Measures 22cm x14cm
